Buying company stock

July 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

I thought about buying $10-20K of my company’s stock when it hit near an all-time low a couple months ago. The stock is now back up about 70% above the low point. That would have been a nice little capital gain in a short period of time.

I had no insider information. I simply watch the stock every day and know where it has typically hovered over the past couple years and realized that it was so low that even a modest recovery would net a decent gain. I need to read the rules on such transactions so that if it happens again I know my options.
